AURA Announces Search Process for Executive Vice President

On September 21, 2009, the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA) announced the formation of a Search Committee for the position of Executive Vice President of AURA. The Executive Vice President will act on behalf of the President, will represent AURA and the President, and will carry out special initiatives at the direction of the President.

The members of the Search Committee are:

Garth Illingworth, University of California Santa Cruz
J. Patrick Looney, Brookhaven National Lab
Richard Malow, AURA Corporate Office
Kathryn (Katy) Schmoll, University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR)
Peg Stanley, Space Telescope Science Institute
