At its meeting of 2007 July, ACCORD noted an urgent need for an updated National roadmap for Adaptive Optics. It was organized by ACCORD with financial support from the NSF and held in 2007 October in Tucson, Arizona. The final report of the workshop was released on 2008 April 18 as "A Roadmap for the Development of United States Astronomical Adaptive Optics"
